I agree, that Stan Getz The Song is You album is worth finding. It's fascinating to compare how that group plays with Miles' second quintet or Coltrane's group. "Dave's Chant" aka "Dane's Chant" is a neat Cowell composition from that record.
I thoroughly enjoy the Cowell Live at Maybeck Recital Hall album and think it stands out among that series of solo piano recordings. Cowell's composition "I am Waiting" is my favorite track.
