All that’s been said about Paul being a tyrant and John being absent and disinterested has been dispelled.

Just so, Tom. If it’s possible to put side who this doc is about and just see it as you’ve described what emerges ( at least for me ) is a master class on collaboration, compromise and workmanship. So yeah, yeah yeah they’re the Beatles but that’s just the most obvious thing about “Get Back.”

Tom, I have not seen the piece, but from what you described as the studio tape rolling while master musicians were crafting their art, reminds me of the years I spent on stage with jazzmen and jazz women, rockers, blues musicians and that incredible eye contact and subtle interplay between talented artists. Whether it’s a knowing wink, a four bar quote passed around. I may’be spent a couple decades working the technology side of media, but for me, those looks, laughs and knowing looks exchanged among players, is the very best part of the show. That special organism that is a band, large or small a quartet or a swinging jazz orchestra.

Thanks Tom, that for knowing wink about the “boring part” I know and love!

thanks....indeed -- that's part of the art behind the art for sure.

I used to joke during all those gigs at Gusman one of the best parts of the show was the wise cracks on the lighting directors com channel- but the nods/ when the band hits a groove. That’s sweet stuff. The audience never knows what their missing.

Except… more kick, in the monitors! (Wink)
