wow, thanks Brad! There's plenty more to say tho! She was a deep soul who wrote deceptively crystalline songs....we need more like her!

Well done, Tom! Well-written and, of course, timely. Christine deserved this tribute, especially for all Mac's fans who think the band's successes all rose and fell with Nicks and Buckingham, and for those who think there was no Mac pre-'75! I had thought about doing a Christine tribute, but not only did you beat me to it, but you far-eclipsed what I think I could have mustered! Bravo!👏✨👍

Thanks for the cross-post - I had little idea about her pre-FM days. I've also now subscribed to EchoLocator and am looking forward to more cool stuff!

Thank you Brad, for cross-posting this, and thank you Tom for this tribute. Honestly, you were far more charitable than I would have been concerning the B/N takeover of the band. I have all of the pre-B/N Fleetwood Mac albums on vinyl, and none of the B/N era albums because, honestly, I can't stand them. Christine McVie, Danny Kirwan, Peter Green--they crafted divinely beautiful songs, that were most beautiful when presented in that spare, thoughtful way that early Fleetwood Mac did things. Green's guitar licks still bring tears to my eyes. Yes, Christine wrote some great stuff for the rebooted band, but it was all lost in a morass of self-indulgent breathiness, teeth and hair. And LB was only the fifth, or tenth best guitarist who ever played for FM. I'm glad Mick Fleetwood and the McVies got to cash in after all their years laboring in the mines, but I'm convinced they too, if asked to be completely honest, would look back most fondly on the pre-B/N music. Thanks again for a great look back.
