Tom, thanks for the intro to Fredy Studer. I wasn't in the head space to spend much time in his world today- maybe later! But immediately jumped back into Nik Bärscht and also some of the Heliocentrics' music, which continues to bake my brain. I would love to hear your take on either of them if you're so inclined.

Yes, “Paiste Profiles”. I have those books. A profile on each of their endorsers with history and illustrations of their cymbal set ups .

So sorry to hear about Freddie Studer. A truly innovative drummer/percussionist who through his group OM, carved a new mold for improvisation. The L. P. OM featuring Dom Um Romao is a touch stone.
